The 80's saw some rough times for the band, but there was some really good music as well. "Permanent Vacation" and "Pump" started a new era for the band as they started their climb back to the top of the hill. The fans who stuck around were treated to some new great rock and roll while the new fans found out how much Aerosmith just plain rocked.
